GDPR, Data Processing Agreement (DPA) and Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs)
Publisher: Psychz Networks, December 09,2025Our Role Under GDPR
Psychz Networks provides infrastructure and hosting services, including dedicated servers, colocation, IP transit, DDoS protection and storage services. For customers subject to the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the customer typically acts as the data controller and Psychz Networks acts as the data processor. The customer is responsible for deciding what personal data is collected, stored or processed on our infrastructure.
Data Processing Agreement (DPA)
Psychz Networks offers a standard GDPR-compliant Data Processing Agreement (DPA) for customers who process personal data of individuals in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom or Switzerland using our services.
Our DPA describes:
- The subject matter and purpose of processing
- Our obligations as a data processor
- Our technical and organizational security measures
- Our use of sub-processors (for example, data center and network providers)
- Our obligations for incident / breach notification and cooperation with data subject requests
Customers can request our standard DPA by opening a ticket from their Psychz Dashboard account or by contacting our support team from their registered email address.
Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) for International Data Transfers
Psychz Networks is headquartered in the United States and operates data centers in multiple regions. When our services involve the transfer of personal data from the EEA, UK or Switzerland to the United States or any other country that is not recognized as providing an adequate level of protection, Psychz Networks makes available the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) as part of our DPA.
Our DPA incorporates the EU SCCs (Module 2 – Controller to Processor) and, where required, the UK International Data Transfer Addendum (IDTA). These contractual safeguards are designed to help customers satisfy GDPR requirements for international data transfers.
Data Center Locations and EU Data Residency
Psychz Networks operates data centers in multiple regions worldwide, including the United States, Europe and Asia.
Customers who require that data be stored within the European Union can deploy services in our EU data center locations (for example, Amsterdam and Barcelona). We also offer London as an additional European location. Please contact our support team if you have specific data residency or compliance requirements so we can recommend suitable locations.
