    Private Network - Create

    Publisher: Psychz Networks October 03,2022

With the help of this feature, you can create a private network that connects a controlled number of computers and is usually local to physical devices. To do so, you will need at least two devices.

Important: At the moment, this feature will only allow you to build a private network between two or more devices located in the same data center.

Follow the steps below to create a Private Network.

    Step 1: Login to Dashboard

Click here 'Dashboard' to login into the client dashboard using your credentials.

Step 2: Navigate to the feature

On the menu bar available on the left hand side of the screen, click on "Tools". This should expand leading to several features including 'Private Network'. Click on the "Private Network" button to navigate further.

    Step 3: Add Private Network

Click on the "Create Private Network" button on your dashboard's top right corner. This should take you to the page where you can add details of your network.

    Step 4: Setup Private Network

Add the following details to set up a network

    Name

Please enter the name of the network. It is advisable that you use abbreviations (private - pvt) to make it simpler and easy to remember.

    Note: Avoid using special characters ~ ! @ # $ % ^ & * ( ) _ + = etc as they are not allowed by the system.

    Category

Currently, there's only one option under this tab which is "Private Network". Soon, we will be launching more features under this option.

    Location

Choose the POP location where you would like to create the Private network.

    Zone

Most of our data centers are divided into zones for better categorization. You must choose the appropriate zone of your device before you move to the next step.

Note: WHile creating a Private Network, you can only choose devices within a same zone.

    Devices

This option will highlight all the devices you currently have under your subscription towards the location you chose in the previous option. Select the device you want to add to the private network and click on the "Add Device" button.

Note: A device can only be part of one private network; hence, when you choose the device, it will not appear in the "Devices" list the next time you create another private network.

Important: You will need to add at least two devices to create a Private Network. The "Create" button will remain irresponsive until you add two devices.

    Step 5: Finalize setup

Click on the "Create" button to initiate Private Network creation.

The system will redirect you to the main page of Private Network, where you can see a freshly created network with the status "Pending." The process takes about 5-10 minutes to execute the request successfully. You can revisit this page to check the status of your Private network.

IMPORTANT: After creating a private network, it is crucial to configure the private IP on the server manually. Alternatively, you can seek assistance from our dedicated support team by submitting a ticket.
