Introduction
Origin Shield is an extra caching layer between the CDN edge servers and your origin. This increases your cache-hit efficiency, lets you serve content faster and more efficiently, and keeps your site running smoothly.

Activate Origin Sheild
To activate the origin shield, please follow the steps given below.
Step 1: Click on the "Services/Devices" tab on the navigation bar on your left side of the dashboard. This should reveal more options under it.
Step 2: Click on the "Devices" menu.
Step 3: Select the device for which you would like to enable the origin shield. Look for the device which has "CDN" as a label under the "Description" tab. Click on the looking glass icon (under the "Action" tab) associated with the device.
Step 4: You should now have entered the "Device Detail" page. Click on the "Global CDN Settings" button.
Step 5: You can see Origin Sheild dropdown which reveals the toggle button when clicked. By deafault it is set to disable. Click on the toggle button to activate the Origin Shield.
Step 6: Hit save to complete the activation.
Note: The activation takes about a few seconds, and once activated, the loading sign disappears.
