Psychz provides a read-only ISO library for cMetal clients who need to mount operating system installers through server BMC/IPMI virtual media. The ISO files are maintained by Psychz and published under predictable file names.
To get started, find the ISO server for your server location, choose an installer, and use the mount settings below.

Mounting Steps
- Open your server’s BMC/IPMI virtual media interface.
- Enter the ISO server IP, share name, username, and password from the tables above.
- Choose a file from Available ISO Files below and enter its complete BMC/IPMI Path.
- Mount the ISO and confirm that it appears as connected virtual media.
- Use the server’s one-time boot menu to boot from the virtual CD/DVD device and start the installer.
After installation: Disconnect the mounted ISO and boot from the disk where you installed the operating system.

Verification and Trust Information
Psychz verifies ISO files before publishing them to the cMetal ISO library. Images are downloaded from official operating system vendor or project sources and checked against upstream SHA256 checksum information when available.
The library uses a controlled, add-only process. New approved ISO files may be added, but existing published ISO names are not automatically deleted or replaced.
If checksum verification fails, an unexpected checksum change is detected, or an unsafe update is found, the ISO is blocked from publication until it is reviewed.
All ISO shares are read-only. Clients can mount and boot the files but cannot upload, modify, or delete them.
Recommended Client Checks
Before installing, confirm that the ISO file matches the operating system and version you intend to install.
Examples:
- Ubuntu 24.04 LTS: Use ubuntu24.iso.
- Ubuntu 22.04 LTS: Use ubuntu22.iso.
- Debian 12: Use debian12.iso.
- Rocky Linux 9: Use rocky9.iso.
- Proxmox VE 8: Use proxmox8.iso.
Troubleshooting
If your BMC/IPMI virtual media interface cannot connect or mount the ISO, check the following:
