    Psychz cMetal ISO Library

    Publisher: Psychz Networks June 16,2026

Psychz provides a read-only ISO library for cMetal clients who need to mount operating system installers through server BMC/IPMI virtual media. These ISO files are maintained by Psychz and published under simple, predictable file names so clients can quickly select the correct installer.

    ISO Locations

Use the ISO location that matches your server location.

Location Location Code ISO Server IP Share Name Access Path Format
Los Angeles, California LAX 173.224.214.94 pe Read-only guest access \pe\<iso-file-name>
Dallas, Texas DAL 108.181.226.58 pe Read-only guest access \pe\<iso-file-name>

    Mount Information

In your server BMC/IPMI virtual media interface, enter the ISO server IP, share name, username, password, and ISO path.

    Field Los Angeles Dallas
    Server IP 173.224.214.94 108.181.226.58
    Username guest guest

    Verification and Trust Information

Psychz verifies ISO files before publishing them to the cMetal ISO library. ISO images are downloaded from official operating system vendor or project sources and checked against upstream SHA256 checksum information when available.

The ISO library is managed using a controlled, add-only process. New approved ISO files may be added, but existing published ISO names are not automatically deleted or replaced. If checksum verification fails, if an unexpected checksum change is detected, or if an unsafe update is found, the ISO is blocked from being published until it is reviewed.

The ISO shares are read-only. Clients can mount and boot ISO files, but cannot upload, modify, or delete files from the share.

    Recommended Client Checks

Before installing an operating system, confirm that the selected ISO file name matches the operating system version you intend to install.

    • Use ubuntu24.iso for Ubuntu 24.04 LTS.
    • Use ubuntu22.iso for Ubuntu 22.04 LTS.
    • Use debian12.iso for Debian 12.
    • Use rocky9.iso for Rocky Linux 9.
    • Use proxmox8.iso for Proxmox VE 8.

    Troubleshooting

If your BMC/IPMI virtual media interface cannot connect, verify the following:

    • You are using the ISO server IP for the correct location.
    • The username is guest.
    • The password is guest.
    • The ISO path uses this format: \pe\<iso-file-name>.
    • The ISO file name exactly matches one of the names listed in this article.

    Support

If you are unsure which ISO to use, or if your BMC/IPMI cannot mount the selected ISO, please contact Psychz Support and include your server ID, server location, requested operating system, ISO server IP, and the ISO file name you attempted to mount.
