  • How To Protect Server From A DDoS Attack?

How can one go about protecting their server from a DDoS attack?  What steps can one take or is that hard to do when the size of an attack is very large?  For example if the port speed is 1 Gbps but attack is 5 Gbps, nothing can be done right?

All our dedicated servers come with 100 Mbps or 1Gbps port speed (depending on the DC location) which is backed by our strong DDoS protection of up to 20 GB for free. You can always upgrade your DDoS plan as per your need up to 500 Gbps (at additional cost). We have a scrubbing facility at all our POPs spread across the globe at 10 locations. This allows our system to mitigate larger attacks when they reach our network.

You can also perform several security checks at the server level which can help you to hide your server from the outside world which reduces the risk of getting attacked. You can do by applying time to time OS level Security patches. You can also use our dashboard to create rules in the firewall to restrict IPs on specific ports to allow only the authorized machines to communicate with your server.

Our recommendation would be to offer you our "Managed Service" where we offer you support on your server, application, security or network related issues round the clock.  Our pricing is very simple and categorized in 3 tiers. To know more about our Managed services and their pricing kindly visit https://www.psychz.net/managed-hosting.html Our 24/7 dedicated support team is at your service to help you with any service-related issues. All you need to do is open a ticket and your request will be processed in no time.
