    Create Cache Bypass

    Publisher: Psychz Networks January 30,2018

Enabling this feature forces all requests to fall through to the origin server even if the content was previously cached on edge servers. Sometimes the Cache Bypass is needed when the data is to be stored in a different location and not in the cache memory.

You can follow the below path to access Cache Bypass.

CDN Main Page > Manage Domain > Cache > Bypass

To create a Cache Bypass, please click on the Add button.

    Step 1: Select location

From the dropdown menu, select the location that you would like to bypass caching.

    Adding location

    Domain
This field will auto-populate as you are already working under this domain.

    Select Proxy Protocol (HTTP/HTTPS)
The proxy protocol is an internet protocol used to carry connection information from the source requesting the connection to the destination for which the connection was requested. You can choose between HTTP and HTTPS depending on your requirement.

    Proxy IP / CNAME
A proxy lets you go online under a different IP address identity. You can either use the IP address or CNAME under this configuration.

    Root Location
Specify the root path of your domain to attach to the location feature
    e.g. /this/is/demo/path/

    Step 2: Enter extensions

Specify the files that you would like to bypass caching by specifying their extensions e.g. png, mp4, CSS, HTML
