Getting Started with Object Storage Using Cyberduck
Publisher: Psychz Networks, May 23,2024Cyberduck is a popular, free, open-source file transfer client that supports many protocols and cloud storage services. It is designed for Windows and MacOS operating systems and offers a user-friendly interface for managing and transferring files.
It's crucial to have access to a Windows workstation and your sObject Storage credentials, which you'll obtain when you deploy sObject from your Psychz Dashboard.

Step 1: Download and Install Cyberduck
- Download Cyberduck
- On your Windows workstation, open a web browser and navigate to https://cyberduck.io/download/
- Download and install the Software
- Once on the homepage, locate and click the "Cyberduck for Windows" button.
- After the download is complete, open the installer file. Follow the on-screen instructions to install the Cyberduck on your workstation.
Step 2: Launch Cyberduck
After installation, you can launch Cyberduck by finding it in your Start menu or by double-clicking its desktop icon.
Step 3: Add a New Connection
- Navigate to Open Connection:
- Locate the "Open Connection" from the menu bar in the Cyberduck interface.
- Enter Connection Details:
- Select Amazon S3 from the dropdown menu.
- In the Server, enter the endpoint URL that includes your bucket's region.
- Enter your access key and secret access key.
Click the "Connect" button to connect to your object storage. Cyberduck will then attempt to connect to Psychz's sObject using the provided credentials.
