Bare-Metal servers, as the name suggests, are servers without virtualization. If you order a Bare-Metal server you will get hardware that you can customize and install the software according to your requirements.

In simpler words, Bare-Metal dedicated servers are servers without any virtualization layer in the middle. if you order a Bare-Metal server you are a single tenant with access to all the resources.

A Bare-Metal server makes use of hypervisors that don’t require the support of a host operating system. Hypervisors are directly installed on the hard drive and can create virtual machines as in a typical virtualized environment.

A hypervisor is computer software, firmware or hardware that creates and runs virtual machines. The hypervisor has its own device drivers and interacts with each component directly for any I/O, processing or OS specific tasks. On a hypervisor, each virtual machine has its separate guest OS and share of memory, computing power, and hard drive storage.

Hope the above information helps you to rid of your confusion.
