Many customers at Psychz Networks have deployed their private clouds on dedicated servers using OpenStack to setup their own cloud. It makes good economic sense to do this for many use cases. By doing so, you can distribute computing, storage, and networking over any number of computers from a single interface.
There are many components of OpenStack, but they can be put in three broad categories: computing, storage, and networking. You can run core services and have a virtual environment by having the nodes set up with following minimum hardware configuration
Compute Node:
CPU : E3-1230 V3
Memory: 16 GB
Storage: 100 GB
Controller Node (Networking and various Networking agents):
CPU: E3-1230 V3
Memory: 8 GB
Storage: 100 GB
Storage
CPU: E3-1230 V3
Memory: 4 GB
Storage: 500+ GB
The above specs are basic and if your computing requirement is higher, we strongly suggest you go for higher configuration.

Our team will help you provision your requirement per your specifications and install applications as required. However, the configuration is something you will have to take care of.
