  • Server to host 1000 players

Posted By: Peng | 1 Replies | Last Reply On: Jun 26, 2017 06:24:58

Hello, I recently started hosting a game server where I received a really good response and now I have many more gamers joining us every day. I believe soon we will be hitting a mark of 1000 players.
Now, due to the increasing demand of players, my current server at times suffers lag.
Can you suggest me server configuration that can easily handle up to 1000 players? Also, please help me with the pricing.

Hi there,

We would be glad to help you choose the possible hardware for your requirement that will give you the kind of performance to keep you going.

Most of the configurations provided by hosting companies are not strong enough to provide the right environment for the gamers. However, our realtime inventory system will help you choose and customize your server hardware so that you get the right thing for your server.

Since you mention that the number of players may go up to 1000+, you would need a server that is capable of performing that many concurrent requests. You would need 1TB of space which means you can go for SSD instead of a SATA disc. They offer lesser latency on file access read offering faster data access.

CPU: Dual core Xeon
HD: 1000GB SSD
Memory: 128 ECC
Bandwidth: 100TB Data Transfer

Now the above configuration is more than enough to let your players connect and enjoy the gaming environment without experiencing lag even if the number exceeds more than 1000 players. However, it is also important on how you optimize your game server.

To view our realtime hardware inventory or to customize your own server please visit us at  https://www.psychz.net/dedicated-hosting.html.

You can also write to our sales team at sales@psychz.net with your requirement and they will be glad to help you with your requirement.
