    • Order cVirtual
    • Create cVirtual

The following steps will guide you on how to create a cVirtual device using the dashboard.

    Order cVirtual Service

To order a cVirtual device, you must order the service from the 'Order Service' page. You can do this by clicking on the 'Services/Devices' tab on the navigation bar on the left and then clicking on 'Order Service' tab.

Select 'cVirtual' from the category, and click on 'Deploy' button.

    Configuration menu

    • Billing Cycle: Currently free of charge.
    • Pay Per Usage: Pay only for what you use. Click ‘More info’ for details.
    • Region: Currently available in Los Angeles, CA (US West).
    • Compute Type: Choose between shared or dedicated vCPU, based on processing power and memory needs.
    • Compute Plans: Various cVirtual plans (Starter, Basic, Standard, Enhanced, Professional, Business) to fit your business needs.
    • Storage: Options range from 10GB to 1TB across Standard and Premium plans.
    • Quality of Service: Select from Cost-Efficient, Balanced Performance, or High-Performance options.
    • Network Port: Default base speed of 500 Mbps, with an upgrade to 1 Gbps available at an additional cost.

Place order to confirm and execute the service.

    Create cVirtual

Let us now create an instance using the cVirtual module.

Click on the 'Compute' tab from the navigation bar on the left and select 'cVirtual' tab. Fill in the details as follows

    • Device ID: Select the device which you've just ordered using the 'Order Service' page.
    • Device Name: For easy identification of devices, you can use alphanumeric naming convention.
    • Image: Choose from the avilable OS (Linux) options that you wish to load on your virtual machine
    • Password: Select a strong password of your choice between 12-50 characters.
    • Confirm Password: You need to re-input the same password to proceed further

Select 'Create' to deploy the virtual machine. It will take a few seconds before sharing the details of your virtual machine. The following is the format in which details are shared

    Instance Name: your_instance_name
    IPv4 Public: 123.456.789.012
    Image: AlmaLinux-8
    vCPU: 2
    RAM: 8.00 GB
    Disk: Standard 10GB

Copy and secure the above details on your local machine for future use.

You have successfully deployed a virtual machine using cVitual module.
