I am struggling to decide between cloud hosting or dedicated server.

- which one is cheaper?

- which one offers better resources and management?

- which one is flexible?

We will be happy to answer all your questions that will help you decide between choosing cloud hosting and dedicated server.

1. Which one is cheaper?

Generally, the price depends on the hosting provider and the prices they are offering. However, if you examine the price vs performance scale, it is observed that the dedicated hosting is cheaper than cloud hosting on that account.
Moreover, the dedicated hosting is charged on a monthly basis, whereas, cloud hosting is charged on usage basis.

2. Which one offers better resources and management?

Dedicated server hosting services lets you own a physical server and use all of its resources exclusively for your applications. There is no external interference or control. Hence, when you physical own the server it is easier to manage.
On the other hand, in cloud hosting, you can choose from various specifications which you are allotted from a cluster of servers. Also, you can scale up the cloud server much easily.
In conclusion, for the same specifications, dedicated servers offer more resources and are much easier to manage.

3. Which one is flexible?

Cloud hosting services offer more flexibility than dedicated hosting services. When you require an upgrade in your server specifications, the cloud hosting services extend your specifications by providing resources from their cluster. However, in dedicated hosting services, the entire hardware needs replacement.
